30 Day Song Challenge - Day 30
**This post is EXTREMELY delayed due to a charming bout of strep throat that prevented me from thinking, let alone sitting in front of a computer screen and typing coherent sentences.
Day Thirty - Your Favorite Song This Time Last Year
TAKE BACK THE CITY by Snow Patrol

I don’t know if it’s because I was thriving in my new life in my old city of Los Angeles, the city I was born and barely raised in (before hauling across the country to Boston), but this song was the first on every playlist I made last year. Driving to and from work blasting it through the speakers in my teeny Toyota, I felt invincible, excited, inspired even. Damnit, don’t you love it when a song gives you superpowers?
Of course the inevitable occurred; I listened to it entirely too much and subsequently started to loathe and lose appreciation. But one fateful day last week, shuffle chose THIS song to play at random. And I perked up and tuned in with glee, then all of a sudden the song regained it’s power and the slight tingle of invincibility resumed it’s course through my body.
Strange how music can be both my source of power and my kryptonite.
